Women of Newman and beyond are invited to come and spend some time reflecting upon how these rich ancient verses can more fully become expressions of our prayerful sentiments that arise from the sufferings, challenges and hopes of our contemporary world. This will be a hybrid event, both in person in the Lounge and on-line via ZOOM. Gina Hens-Piazza is the Joseph S. Alemany Professor of Biblical Studies at the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University. Author of seven books and is a frequent lecturer nationally and internationally on topics of biblical justice, women and minor biblical characters. Her recent co-edited work, The Jerome Biblical Commentary for the 21st Century, speaks comprehensively to the global church and has been welcomed by Pope Francis.
